NEW SIX WEEKS BEGINNING BOXING FUNDAMENTALS


Class starts Tuesday, January 13

Tue, Fri 7pm-8:15pm

Early registration ends December 22nd.
(Must pre-register before the start of the class. Mminimum of 10, maximum of 20 students per class).

6 Week Beginner Boxing Fundamentals Course Description: In this course you will not only improve your level of fitness, loose weight, increase lean body mess, gain confidence and self control – you will learn how to defend your self the old fashion way by using “sweet science of boxing”, western form of self defense.   We will teach you proper balance, boxing stance, how to jab correctly at the proper distance, deliver a right cross, left hook, and right and left uppercuts. You will also learn how to defend against each of these punches. You will perform offensive and defensive drills with your partner simulating real life situations and imploring different strategies. On the last day of the class you will have to demonstrate your acquired skills and if qualified you will receive the certificate of completion. The class will meet twice a week for 6 weeks. "White Collar" Boxing Program
Emphasis on boxing conditioning and technique.  In this class you will have the opportunity to experience light sparring in the ring. Class is progressive and will equally benefit the beginner, as well as more seasoned "white collar" boxer.

Houston’s Slava White Collar Boxing Training Program

Gym is open to the public and personal training is available M-F from 5am- 9pm, and 8am-2pm on Saturday.

Get ready for something you’ve never experienced before – an authentic boxing workout. This is the REAL DEAL. This is not a cardio boxing class taught by some aerobics teacher.   Prepare yourself to be put through the paces of a professional boxer’s workout. Experience the thrill of punching the heavy bag, shadowboxing in the ring, mastering the speed bag, and hitting the focus pads with your coach.  Boxers are the most fit of all athletes and you can look and feel like one of these athletes.  The boxing coaches will teach you how to burn calories and build muscle as you learn the sweet science and have fun.

1.  Jump rope – 2-3 rounds

2.  Shadow Boxing – 2-3 rounds
Shadow boxing is use t practice boxing basics, such as your stance, movement and punching techniques. (Read More)

3.  Heavy bag – 2-3 rounds
Heavy bag training is an all out anaerobic activity. It works like an antidote to stress. (Read More)

4.  Double-End bag – 2-3 rounds
The double end bag is one of the more challenging boxing training techniques that you can work on.(Read More)

5.  Hand Pads – 2-3 rounds
The Pad workout will be performed with your coach.   The coach or trainer will focus on technique and critique all aspects of your boxing skills from footwork, individual punches to combinations.(Read More)

6.  Speed Bag – 2-3 rounds
The speed bag is a piece of equipment that everyone can use and benefit from using regardless of age, gender, and fitness level.(Read More)
